Haywards Heath station is less than 6 miles from Bolney and has regular train services south to Brighton, Littlehampton, Eastbourne and Hastings, and north to London (Victoria via Southern Rail and King’s Cross/St Pancras and beyond via Thameslink). Haywards Heath benefits from a large station car park.

Handcross and District Community Bus
Serves Bolney once every week (Wednesday) en route to Horsham. Route starts in Pease Pottage, then via Handcross and Staplefield to Bolney.
Pick up at “Drovers” at 0957 and what used to be the Post Office at 0958. Other stops by “request”.
Arrives Horsham Bus Station 1033 and Carfax 1034. Leaves Bus Stn 1234 and Carfax 1235, back at Drovers 1307/Post Office 1308.
Route goes via Slaugham, Warninglid, Plummers Plain, Lower Beeding (church, pub) and v.v. on return…pick up/set down at all points.
Concessionary Travel passes accepted. For those young enough NOT to qualify, the adult single fare is £3 (child £1.25) for any segment or the whole route!
The bus can of course be used for one way journeys in either direction, e.g. to go to Staplefield/Handcross/Pease Pottage from Bolney on the return route from Horsham, but of course one has to find one’s own way back to Bolney!
