A-one+, on behalf of Highways England will be carrying out resurfacing to address skid resistant deficiencies to the A23 southbound carriageway and southbound on slip from Hickstead (A2300) towards Albourne Road.
In order to carry out these works as efficiently and as safely as possible, work will be carried out under full closures of the southbound on-slip and A23 carriageway from Hickstead Roundabout (A2300) to Pyecombe. The works will be carried out overnight from 8pm to 6am between Monday 24 February 2020 to Sunday 1 March 2020. The works are weather dependent.

Emergency vehicles will be provided with access through the works at all times.
Diversions: A clearly signed diversion will be in place suitable for all types of vehicles.
Southbound Diversion: Vehicles travelling south on the A23 will be diverted off at Bolney Roundabout to join the A272. At the fifth roundabout take the third exit onto the A273 Isaac’s Lane. Continue on the A273 around Burgess Hill to the A273 London Road, Brighton Road to re-join the A23 at Pyecombe continuing south on the A23 towards Brighton.
