The new houses currently being built at the south end of London Road will be ready for occupation this spring by people with a Bolney connection. Called Magdalene Rise, the development of 12 dwellings is a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom properties, all for rent at below market rates.
Anyone interested in a home should APPLY NOW for inclusion on the Mid-Sussex Common Housing Register, (also called the Mid-Sussex Housing Register in some places). The first stage is to determine your eligibility here
This is done by a succession of statements to which you need to answer YES or NO before the next statement appears. Clicking in the long box brings up the YES and NO alternatives. Then you need to tick the box beside one or more of the options for your ‘connection with Mid Sussex’.
If you are eligible for housing in Mid-Sussex, click on the link to the Homemove website for the online form and guidance on the process. In case of difficulty please call Sussex Homemove on 0300 100 0303.
The homes at Magdalene Rise will be allocated to people with a Bolney connection first before being offered to people from our closest villages if there are not enough qualified applicants from Bolney. So it is important for people to apply to register an interest as soon as possible and before the end of November.
To qualify for a Bolney connection you need to have lived or be living in Bolney, OR be employed in Bolney, OR have a close relative living in Bolney.
The development and management of Magdalene Rise is being undertaken by English Rural Housing Association, a specialist provider of affordable rural homes. For more information or advice please contact Pam Howard – Housing Services Administrator – 01483 540873 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Bolney Parish Council would like to see the homes all filled with Bolney people so don’t delay register now!
