7    ANY OTHER BUSINESS

It was agreed to comment of the proposed development of Aurora Ranch Caravan Park as follows:

bulletThe present infrastructure e.g. the school and limited amenities, has no room for expansion to accommodate the residents of 130 dwellings.
bulletThere appears to be a great deal of support for a Caravan Park in the area and BK/07/00933/COU appeared to have been ruled out by Policy R17 of the Mid Sussex Local Plan.  The Parish Council has never received a response to its request for confirmation that the Aurora Caravan Park has been closed and if so what the site is going to be used for.
bulletIt would appear to be an overdevelopment of a site in an AONB.

Mr Seward reported that the travellers had moved to Crosspost and that the police had to be called allegedly due to intimidating behaviour.

There being no other business, the meeting closed at 8.30 p.m.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 17 July 2007.
