4     TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING DECISIONS OF MSDC

a     09/03585/FUL – Location: Old Highlands West, London Road, Bolney

Desc: Proposed ancillary annexe accommodation for dependent elderly relatives

PC Decision: NO OBJECTION. APPROVED BY MSDC.

 

b     10/00109/COU – Location: Long House, The Street, Bolney

Desc:  Existing dwelling is refurbished into a Bed and Breakfast facility. 

PC Decision: NO OBJECTION. APPROVED BY MSDC.

 

c     10/00139/COU – Location: Hunters View, Cross Colwood Lane, Bolney

Desc:  Change of use of existing Squash Court to holiday accommodation.

PC Decision: NO OBJECTION. APPROVED BY MSDC.

 

d     10/00321/FUL – Location: Broxtead House, Broxmead Lane, Bolney

Desc:  Demolition of existing detached double garage and erection of new detached garage and car port building.

PC Decision: NO OBJECTION. APPROVED BY MSDC.

 

e     10/00562/TREE – Location: Land Adjacent to Durstons, Lodge Lane, Bolney

Desc: Fell two Cypresses (T1 and T2). PC Decision: NO OBJECTION – Would recommend new planting takes place as directed by the parks superintendent by arrangement with the owner. APPROVED BY MSDC.

 

5     TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS:

a     09/03600/FUL – Location: Former Car Park to Queens Head Pub, London Road, Bolney

Desc: Erection of 3 houses together with parking and associated landscaping.  Amended plans received 08/03/2010 showing revised design of proposed houses. PC Decision: NO OBJECTION

 

b     10/00579/FUL – Location: Lyelands Farm, Cowfold Road, Bolney

Desc:  Remove existing rear kitchen roof and rear wall, utility room and conservatory and erect single storey family room and double storey extension on rear elevation.  Ground floor – kitchen extension and utility room.  First floor – bedroom en-suite and dressing room.  PC Decision: NO OBJECTION

 

c     10/00324/FUL – Location: Colwood Manor East, Spronketts Lane, Bolney

Desc: To modify existing granted planning permission (BK/03/00578/FUL) that replaces current mat roof with 5/8 pitched roof to full pitched roof in order to better match main house and include full French windows to compliment existing frontage.  Additional new access door to the south side of existing extension.  

PC Decision: Not discussed as this application has already been approved by MSDC.

 

d     10/00753/FUL – Location: Redwoods, Crossways, Bolney

Desc: Amendment to approved annex and loft conversion (09/03336/FUL) comprising raised central northern dormer over stair and conservation rooflights to northern roof slope of side extension.  

PC Decision: NO OBJECTION

 

e     10/00775/COU – Location: Property South of Rowlands, Buncton Lane, Bolney

Desc: Change of use of existing ‘Gunsmiths Workshop’ to residential, including minor design alterations and landscaping of the site.  PC Decision: Policy C13g of the Local Plan states that re-use for residential purposes will not normally be permitted in rural areas and the proposal does not appear to fit the exceptions.  The Council is therefore not clear why this application has been submitted.

 

f      10/00699/FUL – Location: Robinswood, Colwood Lane, Warninglid

Desc: Two bay garage with upper floor, for storage and occasional use, to replace existing building.

 PC Decision: NO OBJECTION

 

g     10/00768/FUL – Location: Redbrae, The Street, Bolney

Desc: Two storey rear extension forming new bedroom.  Single storey rear extension enlarging existing kitchen.

 PC Decision: NO OBJECTION

 

5     CORRESPONDENCE

DT has received various items of correspondence on Park Farm Cottage, Broxmead Lane, Bolney.  Three of the four applications that were submitted with different access arrangements via the A23 have now been refused on the grounds of highways safety.  A fourth with access to the south of the site via Broxmead Lane is still to be determined.

The applicant has submitted an appeal on the original refusal of planning permission.
