Emergency Plans
As you know, from time to time we have
experienced various 'emergencies' in Bolney - usually the
result of adverse weather - but they could take many forms in
the future. These could include major emergencies on the
A23, fires, plane crashes etc.
Whilst the emergency services will, of
course, be the first line of support, there may be occasions
where we have to be more self-reliant, particularly in the
early stages of an emergency.
The plan is that in the event of an
emergency, Parish Councillors would take on the roles of '
Local Emergency Coordinators' to try and get help to where it
is needed most in their part of the village.
The Parish Council wishes to establish what
resources may be
available within the community of Bolney, in the event of a
local emergency and would be grateful for your co-operation in
completing the following questionnaire.
Please also let us know if you/members
of your household have special needs.
Below are a number of areas considered important to such an
emergency plan and residents are asked to consider what help
they (or members of their household) may be able to give, in the event of such an emergency.
Please tick the box, as appropriate, against each item listed
- together with a
text of other help you can give; and finally your name,
address and telephone number. Then click on "Submit"
or if necessary, reset to start again.
Under the Data Protection Act, you should be aware that the
information you provide will be shared - in times of crisis - with the Parish Council
and may also be shared with others, as the Parish Council
deems appropriate.
The coordinator can be contacted by
email on emergency-plans@bolney.com.
