Community First Responders
We are establishing a Community First Responder scheme in the Village in partnership with South East Coast Ambulance Service.
We need to try and raise awareness as we have to fundraise to purchase the kit which is approximately £2350 per team member. This will include a defibrillator, oxygen and a First Response kit which equips us to deal with life-threatening conditions until an Ambulance arrives that people within the Village might call for.
We are in the early stages of set up and have 3 volunteers to respond to 999 calls placed to the Ambulance Service once we have completed our training.
