M23 Resurfacing and Traffic Management
I am writing to advise that A-one+ on behalf of Highways England will be carrying out resurfacing on the M23 between junction 10 and 9 London bound.
In order to carry out these works as efficiently and as safely as possible, work will be undertaken whilst we facilitate 5 FULL weekend closures of the London bound carriageway on the M23. These weekend closures are unavoidable due to the nature and scale of the work involved.

Dates and timings
M23 Junction 10 to Junction 9 London Bound
Friday 19 January 10pm – morning of Monday 22 Jan 4am
Friday 26 January 10pm – morning of Monday 29 Jan 4am
Friday 2 Feb 10pm – morning of Monday 5 Feb 4am
Break for Half term for 2 weeks
Friday 23 Feb 10pm – morning of Monday 26 Feb 4am
Next weekend being held at contingency.
Diversions- A clearly signed diversion will be in place during all closures utilising local routes, suitable for all types of vehicles when full closures of the carriageway are in place.
For M25 London Bound Gatwick Airport, you will exit at Junction 10 and take the A2011 to the A23 London Road where you will arrive at Airport Way and double back at North Terminal roundabout and follow the signposted route to South Terminal.
For the M25 london Bound, you will exit at Junction 10, and follow the A2220 to the roundabout. Taking the second turning onto the A264 Copthorne Common Road. Continue until you reach the roundabout of the A264 and the A22 London Road. Turn left at the roundabout and continue until the 3rd roundabout at the junction of the A22 with the B2028/. Take the 2nd exit re-joining the A22 and continue until the 4th roundabout. At this junction you will follow the signs for Junction 6 Godstone of the M25.
The Coast bound carriageway will be free from traffic management with no closures in place and all airport traffic will be able to exit at Junction 9 or continue Coast Bound.
