Help to attract the civil engineers of tomorrow through West Sussex Highways’ apprenticeship recruitment drive.
WSCC want to reach male and female school and college leavers, or anyone keen to pursue a career in civil engineering.
West Sussex Highways is looking to hire three apprentice Civil Engineering Technicians, to teach them a wide range of skills ranging from road management and maintenance to developing highway schemes, along with maintaining bridges and culverts.
They will fund a day release apprenticeship qualification with a training provider as part of the course.
Each will have a mentor who works in Highways and Transport, to offer advice and practical help.
Successful candidates will earn £15,507 a year plus expenses.
To qualify for the apprenticeship, applicants will need:
- At least 4 GCSEs (at Grade C or above) including English, Maths and a Science subject.
The closing date is Wednesday 9 August.
